ok heres what happened ... (once again shatz you may delete this if you wish)
basically i was at home with my other flatmate and two of our friends we were watching some tv and having food etc just generally hanging i guess (after an important sporting event [img]wink.gif[/img] )
our flatmate text me and said im bringing home a friend and hes staying on the couch and wants to go to sleep, im ten minutes away.
i replied and said sweet as he can stay but i have friends over and we are in the lounge so sleep might not happen straight away.
she sent back your friends always stay i think its my turn.
to which i replied they will be leaving sooner or later as none are staying but im not asking them to leave.
flatmate cam home pissed off with b/f slammed door hasnt spoken to me since.
End of story
(actually theres a few nasty things shes done to try get back at me in the last 2 days but i havent bitten ... yet)

i've been in a similar situation, to an extent...
i say that since you are roommates, you share the living area. when i lived in an apartment with a roommate, we had people over every single night. some nights i wanted to go to bed before 3 in the morning. i wasn't about to tell our guests to get out and leave, especially since my roommate was still hanging out and stuff. that's just rude to kick out your guests, just because you are a party pooper.
finally, if the b/f that was coming over was wanting to go to sleep, he had at least two options that i can tell, he could A) sleep with the girl in her bedroom or B) sleep in the other bedroom (assuming there is a place in the other bedroom to sleep)
